Por su Magisterio que se ha dado generosamente y sin rendirse a la evidencia tortuosa y caprichosa de este mundo. Por su gusto y por su delicadeza en la liturgia, por su entrega y por tantas muestras de que, el SEÑOR, habita dentro de Vd. Por su gusto por la música y por el gregoriano, por su devoción en la Eucaristía, por querer más unir que romper, por pretender que, la Iglesia, sea más consciente y conocedora de Aquel que predica y lleva en vasija de barro.

Por su mano que ha impartido bendiciones a millares. Por su cayado que nos ha invitado a seguir a Cristo y sin condiciones por su lento caminar, con el cual nos sugería, que la fe se propone y nunca se impone. Por su mirada risueña y perdida en el horizonte divino que nos animaba a mirar desde lo más profundo del mar a lo más alto del cielo.

Por este gesto que le honra….de decirnos que, sus fuerzas, son menores que la capacidad para llevar el timón de la Barca de Pedro. No lo deseábamos, pero lo comprendemos. Ahora, a nosotros, nos toca rezar. Que DIOS le recompense su inmensa labor y que nos perdone a nosotros, si en algún momento, fuimos con VD más lobos que corderos.
