Domingo XIX. Tiempo Ordinario. Ciclo B.
Blasfemas resultaban a los oídos de los judíos las palabras pronunciadas por Jesús asemejándose a Dios y superior a Moisés; de ahí la crítica que salía de la boca de los que le habían escuchado. Conocían a su familia, su procedencia, su casa… ¿cómo decía que era el pan bajado del cielo? Jesús había usado la expresión “yo soy” que recordaba al nombre de Dios, y esa comparación escandalizaba a sus paisanos.
Jesús sale al paso de estas críticas y afirma que sólo el que escucha a su Padre puede conocerlo a Él. El Padre y Él son uno, comparten una misma naturaleza, viven en el mismo Amor. Pero para entender todo esto era necesario alimentarse del mismo Cristo, sentir que es el alimento que salta hasta la vida eterna, un alimento muy superior al ofrecido en el desierto, al maná que cada mañana Dios regalaba al pueblo por intercesión de Moisés.
El que cree tiene vida eterna, porque se habrá encontrada cara a cara con Cristo, y por tanto con Dios; necesaria es la fe y la confianza en el Hijo para llegar a conocer al Padre en la fuerza del Espíritu Santo. Sólo su Palabra tiene la fuerza para adentrarnos en la vida eterna que nos ha sido preparada.
El pan que Jesús nos da es vida del mundo; por eso acercarnos al sacramento de la vida, que es la Eucaristía, siendo partícipes activos de este banquete en el que nos sentamos como invitados, es disfrutar del mismo Dios, sintiéndonos amados de una manera tan especial que el alma se nos llena de alegría.
Viendo a Jesús nos encontramos con su Padre; y Él desea ardientemente que lo conozcamos, porque para eso vino al mundo, para mostrarnos su Reino de paz, justicia y amor.
A nosotros no nos resultan blasfemas estas palabras de Jesús asemejándose a Dios, o superior a Moisés, o presentándose como el pan vivo bajado del cielo; pero quizá sí deberíamos sorprendernos, porque estamos tan acostumbrados a saber que se ha quedado en un poco de pan y de vino, que ni siquiera se nos conmueve el alma.
El discurso del pan de vida del evangelio de Juan nos sitúa en la esfera del amor, porque la Eucaristía no es otra cosa que el Dios que se nos regala gratuitamente y se nos ofrece hecho alimento para que lo reconozcamos al partir el pan y le adoremos como nuestro Dios y Señor.
