DOMINGO DE PENTECOSTÉS
"Oh Dios... no dejes de realizar hoy, en el corazón de los fieles, aquellas mismas maravillas, que obraste en los comienzos de la predicación evangélica".
Con esta Oración, llena de confianza y audacia, suplicamos este Domingo la venida del Espíritu Santo. Y cada Domingo renovamos nuestra fe: "Creo en el Espíritu Santo, Señor y dador de vida".
EL MENSAJE DE LAS LECTURAS
Evangelio. Tarde de Pascua en el Cenáculo. Se les aparece el resucitado. El saludo es el de siempre. “paz a vosotros".
Su carta de presentación: las llagas gloriosas. 'Les enseñó las manos y el costado". Les confía un encargo urgente: "Como el Padre me envió, así os envío yo". Los capacita para esta tarea permanente en la Iglesia: "Recibid el Espíritu Santo". Quiere que empiecen la reconciliación de los hombres con Él. "... perdonad los pecados..."
El clima era de gran alegría. El Resucitado les devuelve la fe y la esperanza.
Hechos de los Apóstoles. Venida del Espíritu el domingo de Pentecostés.
Estaban reunidos en oración, con María la Madre de Jesús.
El Espíritu Santo los invade de una manera repentina. Los símbolos son tan bíblicos, que nos hacen entender la importancia del momento: ruido, viento, llamas de fuego. hablaban las maravillas de Dios, en lenguas distintas y todos se entendían. Ese día nacía la Iglesia. Lo dicho en el Evangelio, "Recibid el Espíritu Santo", se cumple con señales misteriosas.
Carta a los Corintios. San Pablo les recuerda a estos fieles tres cosas, que hace el Espíritu en la Iglesia.
Nos comunica la fe en Jesús, el Señor.
Enriquece a la Iglesia con dones y carismas muy variados. Realiza la unidad de los creyentes.
"LAS MARAVILLAS QUE OBRÓ EN LOS COMIENZOS DE LA PREDICACIÓN..."
"El Espíritu Santo que alumbró la Iglesia, la va conduciendo por los caminos del mundo. Y entre las muchas cosas que le atribuimos, señalamos tres en aquel comienzo de la iglesia.
- Enriquece la fe de los Apóstoles.
Les hace "reconocer" a Jesús y sentir viva su presencia. Los convierte en testigos decididos. Predican con valentía, desafían a las autoridades que se les oponen, mueren por su fidelidad, en todo momento viven la experiencia del Cristo, que vive.
- Repite los hechos milagrosos de Jesús.
En los hechos vemos como Pedro y Pablo, como el mismo Jesús, curan enfermos, resucitan muertos, paralíticos, Tabita, el joven que se cayó de la ventana. (Hec. 3. 1-10; 9.32-35; 9,36-43; 14.8-18; 20.7.12...)
- Les cambia el corazón. Todo el testimonio de amor de la primera comunidad tiene su origen en la iluminación y en la fuerza del Espíritu Santo. (Hec. 2.37-44; 4.32-33).
Fue el Espíritu Santo quien puso en pie a la Iglesia y la lanzó al testimonio de amor por el mundo.
"NO DEJES DE REALIZAR HOY EN EL CORAZÓN DE LOS FIELES"
Pentecostés es el día de la A. C. y del Apostolado seglar, por eso pedimos en este día para nuestros seglares cristianos:
– Una mayor conciencia no sólo de pertenecer a la Iglesia, sino de ser Iglesia. Que la sientan como algo tan propio, que gocen y sufran con ella y la llenen de esperanza.
– Que al oír la palabra de Jesús hoy: "Como el Padre me envió os envío yo", la reciban como palabra de Jesús dicha a cada uno. Somos enviados de Jesús para llevar su presencia a la Iglesia y sobre todo al mundo.
Y cuando se nos haga difícil ser testigos de Jesús, oigamos la palabra a María: "El Espíritu Santo vendrá sobre ti".
