Sed buenos: buenos en vuestro rostro, que deberá ser distendido, sereno y sonriente; buenos en vuestra mirada, una mirada que primero sorprende y luego atrae. Sed buenos en vuestra forma de escuchar: de este modo experimentaréis, una y otra vez, la paciencia, el amor, la atención y la aceptación de eventuales llamadas.
Sed buenos en vuestras manos: manos que dan, que ayudan, que enjugan las lágrimas, que estrechan la mano del pobre y del enfermo para infundir valor, que abrazan al adversario y le inducen al acuerdo, que escriben una hermosa carta a quien sufre; sobre todo, si sufre por nuestra culpa. Manos que saben pedir con humildad para uno mismo y para quienes lo necesitan, que saben servir a los enfermos, que saben hacer los trabajos más humildes.
Sed buenos en el hablar y en el juzgar: Sed buenos, si sois jóvenes, con los ancianos; y, si sois ancianos, sed buenos con los jóvenes. Sed contemplativos en la acción: mirando a Jesús –para ser imagen de Él– sed, en este mundo y en esta Iglesia, contemplativos en la acción; transformad vuestra actividad en un medio de unión con Dios.
