¡Gloria a ti, oh Padre, Dios de Abraham, Isaac y Jacob! Tú enviaste a tus siervos, los profetas, a proclamar tu palabra de amor fiel y a llamar a tu pueblo al arrepentimiento. En las orillas del río Jordán suscitaste a Juan Bautista, una voz que clama en el desierto, enviado para toda la región del Jordán, a preparar el camino del Señor, a anunciar la venida de Jesús.
¡Gloria a ti, oh Cristo, Hijo de Dios! Viniste a las aguas del Jordán para ser bautizado por la mano de Juan. Sobre ti descendió el Espíritu en forma de paloma. Sobre ti se abrieron los cielos y se escuchó la voz del Padre: "Este es mi Hijo, el predilecto". Del río bendecido por tu presencia saliste para bautizar no sólo con agua sino también con fuego y Espíritu Santo.
¡Gloria a ti, oh Espíritu Santo, Señor y dador de vida! Por tu poder la Iglesia es bautizada, descendiendo con Cristo a la muerte y resucitando con él a nueva vida. Por tu poder somos liberados del pecado y nos convertimos en hijos de Dios, el glorioso Cuerpo de Cristo. Por tu poder es vencido todo miedo, y se predica el Evangelio del amor en todos los rincones de la tierra, para gloria de Dios, Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. A él toda gloria en este Año jubilar y en todos los siglos futuros. Amén.
