EUCARISTÍA Y CARIDAD
Hoy, Señor, es uno de esos días que, tal como se decía antes, relucen más que el sol. Los niños, que han hecho su Primera Comunión, se han puesto sus mejores galas y vuelven a estar de nuevo junto al altar, junto a Ti. Te acompañan en la procesión por las calles de nuestro pueblo y te regalan sus sonrisas y sus flores. Todo parece hermoso y, en verdad, así es.
Pero este día nos trae también el recuerdo de tantas personas que lo están pasando mal a causa de la pobreza, de la falta de trabajo, de las guerras, de los conflictos interminables, de la violencia sin sentido. Por eso, Cáritas, nos recuerda que hoy es el Día del Amor Fraterno y que no podemos honrarte a Ti, que vas en la Custodia, si no ayudamos, a la par, a todo aquel que sufre, sea cual sea su ley, su raza o su destino.
Enséñanos a unir fuertemente el amor a Ti y el amor a los hermanos. Que nunca olvidemos que Tú estás en el Sagrario, en la Custodia, en el Pan y en el Vino compartidos... pero también en el que sufre, en el necesitado, en el refugiado, en el que no sabe cómo llegar a fin de mes. Abre nuestros ojos a la realidad sufriente del mundo y nuestro corazón a la generosidad.
