DOMINGO VI TIEMPO ORDINARIO
La lectura continuada del evangelio de Marcos nos ayuda a ir descubriendo progresivamente la figura del Mesías, y cómo Él se muestra con gestos y palabras como el verdadero Ungido para ser salvador de la humanidad. Resulta llamativo ver la cantidad de milagros que refleja el evangelio, pero sobre todo los que se refieren a las personas más necesitadas.
Hoy se trata de un leproso; en aquel tiempo la lepra era una enfermedad que no tenía cura (podríamos decir que actualmente en algunos países tampoco tiene cura, o no queremos que se pueda curar, porque medios habría en el planeta). Los leprosos estaban expulsados del pueblo, echados a los bordes del camino, marginados de la sociedad y mirados sin compasión.
Jesús continuaba su camino, el camino hacia Jerusalén, la ciudad santa donde se manifestaría como el Hijo de Dios; y al borde del camino este leproso que se atreve a dirigirse a Él. Se acercó con todo el cariño del mundo, y este leproso le suplicaba que le curase; fue suficiente la palabra de Jesús para que la lepra le abandonara.
Quiero, queda limpio, y al instante sucedió tal y como dijo el Mesías.
El leproso había recobrado su salud, y lo que era más importante, podría de nuevo volver al pueblo, a su gente, a su ciudad, con los suyos; no había sido curado solamente de su enfermedad, sino de todo lo que le marginaba y lo había hecho vivir en las afueras de las ciudades.
Jesús le ordena que guardara silencio, como tiempo antes a los demonios; aún no era conveniente que la gente supiera qué hacía Jesús. Se lo ordenó severamente; y le pidió que cumpliera con lo prescrito en la Ley, su purificación; sin embargo, el buen hombre sanado no hizo caso: a voces proclamaba el milagro que en él había ocurrido.
Ya no podía entrar abiertamente en pueblos, se tenía que quedar Jesús fuera para que la gente no le atosigara, y sin embargo, acudían a Él para que les curara de su enfermedad.
La hermosa lección que nos queda este pasaje evangélico nos hace despertar nuestro corazón egoísta que margina, a veces sin darnos cuenta, a los más desfavorecidos. El seguidor de Jesús camina tras su maestro y trata de cumplir su mensaje; y el Reino de los cielos es justicia, paz y amor: algo muy diferente al consumo compulsivo en el que estamos inmersos y que nos hace no volver la vista al borde del camino, donde están los más desfavorecidos y marginados de la sociedad.
