HOMILÍA
Este domingo celebramos la Jornada de la Sagrada Familia centrada, de una forma especial, en los ancianos. El lema es: “Los ancianos, tesoro de la Iglesia y de la sociedad.” Somos invitados a rezar por nuestras familias y por todas las familias. De una forma especial, por aquellas que sufren la ruptura, la incomprensión, las dificultades económicas o la enfermedad de alguno de sus miembros. Oremos y comprometámonos a hacer todo lo que podamos por los mayores de nuestras familias. Muchos de ellos están en los hospitales y en las residencias. A veces sin poderlos visitar a causa de la pandemia. Que el Señor les acompañe y supla nuestra presencia con su amor.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Eclesiástico y nos ha recordado el deber de los hijos de atender, de cuidar y de llenar de ternura la vida de sus mayores. El Señor premiará sus desvelos para con ellos porque “la compasión hacia los padres no será olvidada y servirá para reparar los pecados de todos nosotros”.
La segunda lectura, de la carta de San Pablo a los cristianos de la ciudad griega de Colosas, nos ha mostrado toda una serie de actitudes y de comportamientos que deben adornar nuestra vida de familia: “la compasión entrañable, la humildad, la mansedumbre, la paciencia”. El amor debe estar en el centro de nuestras relaciones familiares: entre los esposos, entre padres e hijos, entre hermanos.
El relato del evangelio de San Lucas nos ha recordado una escena normal y corriente en la Palestina del tiempo de Jesús. El primogénito debía ser presentado al Señor. Al volver a Nazaret, Jesús fue creciendo en edad, en sabiduría y en gracia ante Dios y ante los hombres, como un hijo más. No hubo milagros espectaculares ni cosas extraordinarias en el día a día: solo unos padres, un hijo… y un tiempo para vivirlo juntos.
