HOMILÍA
Celebra hoy la Iglesia la fiesta de la Santísima Trinidad. Adoramos al Dios que es Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo. Y recordamos a tantas personas, hombres y mujeres, que han consagrado a Dios sus vidas y sus personas. La Jornada “Pro Orántibus”, que hoy tiene lugar, nos hace entonar un himno agradecido a todos los que, desde los monasterios de clausura, rezan cada día por todos nosotros. ¡Qué menos que, al menos un día al año, hagamos memoria de ellos, recemos por ellos, les visitemos y les agradezcamos su callada misión! Es importante la labor activa de tantos evangelizadores, pero no es menos importante la de quienes, con su oración, están sosteniendo la misión de toda la Iglesia.
Fue Jesús el que, poco a poco, fue enseñando a los suyos quién es Dios. En muchas ocasiones les habló del Padre de los cielos y les enseñó la oración del Padre Nuestro. También puso de relieve su igualdad con ese Padre de los cielos: “Yo y el Padre somos uno.” Al final de su vida, Jesús comenzó a hacer referencia al Espíritu Santo que les recordaría los que él les había enseñado, que les fortalecería, que les haría comprender el sentido y el significado de sus palabras y de sus hechos.
Hoy, nosotros, casi sin darnos cuenta, estamos viviendo inmersos en este misterio que nos envuelve. En el nombre de la Santísima Trinidad comenzamos toda reunión litúrgica. De una forma especial, la Eucaristía. En su nombre, nos bendice el sacerdote al final de ella. En su nombre, somos bautizados, se perdonan nuestros pecados en la Confesión, son unidos los matrimonios, ordenados los sacerdotes y confortados los enfermos.
Recemos a cada una de las tres divinas personas por separado o a todas ellas en su conjunto. Que la unión y el amor que se vive en el seno de la Trinidad sea un ejemplo y un estímulo para cada uno de nosotros
