DOMINGO DE RAMOS. CICLO B
Nos adentramos en los misterios centrales de nuestra fe; la semana de Pasión y Gloria de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo; el domingo de Ramos nos recuerda esa entrada de Jesús en Jerusalén; la ciudad que hoy lo recibía entre palmas, dentro de poco lo mirará clavado en un madero y contado entre los malhechores.
La lectura de la pasión desde el punto de vista de Marcos ha de entenderse como la segunda parte de un camino; al principio Jesús se había mostrado a todos como el Cristo, el Ungido, avalando sus palabras con signos y milagros. En la segunda parte, desde los acontecimientos de Cesarea de Filipo, cuando preguntó a sus discípulos quién decía la gente que era Él, y aquella pregunta más personal quién decís vosotros que soy yo: desde entonces Jesús se muestra como el Hijo de Dios; las palabras del centurión "verdaderamente este hombre era el hijo de Dios" así lo ratifican.
La narración de estos acontecimientos es sencilla; se trata de explicar un acontecimiento salvador, más que la sucesión de unos hechos que acaecieron tiempo atrás. Marcos se caracteriza por un lenguaje simple, aunque muy simbólico, fácil de entender para gente no muy familiarizada con el lenguaje bíblico.
El evangelio trata de comprender lo que acontece a la luz de la profecía bíblica que se cumple en Cristo, en el Mesías, y que Cristo mismo quiere libremente llevar a efecto. No se trata de exponer la pasión como una narración histórica, aunque no falta tampoco este elemento, sino más bien, se miran los acontecimientos desde la voluntad salvífica y amorosa de Dios.
Jesús sabe que su final está cerca, pero no se echa atrás. Era consciente de que su fidelidad al Padre y a su amor a los hombres tendrían como final la entrega total de sí mismo en la cruz. Era necesario, tal y como lo había anunciado a sus discípulos en varias ocasiones, que el Mesías padeciera, fuera entregado por los jefes del pueblo y fuera crucificado.El domingo de Ramos nos abre un camino hacia la cruz; una senda que sigue las huellas del Mesías, del Hijo de Dios vivo; a los pies de aquella muerte, nuestra vida adquiere un sentido de eternidad, puesto que el sepulcro vacío abrió para nosotros la posibilidad de vivir eternamente con Dios.
