HOMILÍA
Estamos celebrando, como cristianos, la fiesta del Corpus Christi, la fiesta que nos recuerda la presencia viva de Jesús en la Eucaristía, en el pan y en el vino consagrados. Hace unos domingos, la fiesta de la Ascensión, nos hablaba de la partida de Jesús de entre los suyos. Pero, como sabemos, era una partida que tenía lugar sólo a nivel de los sentidos: dejaban de verle, de tocarle, de escucharle… pero no era un abandono. Jesús continuaba, con ellos, de otra manera. Había inventado el modo de quedarse, de seguir a su lado, de acompañarles: cada vez que se reunieran para celebrar la Eucaristía, Él se haría presente; y al comer el pan y al beber el vino, Él entraría en sus cuerpos, en sus vidas, en sus personas; y, desde allí, desde dentro, les infundiría valor y fortaleza. Sería como el pan y el vino que todo caminante necesita.
Y, para resaltar esa presencia de Jesús en la Eucaristía, hoy los cristianos sacamos a Jesús del Sagrario y, con Él en la Custodia, hacemos procesión por las calles de nuestro barrio y montamos pequeños altares en los que vamos renovando nuestra sentida y sincera adoración con oraciones, incienso y pétalos de flores de los niños y niñas que este año, algunos ayer mismo, han hecho la Primera Comunión en distintas parroquias. Y todos juntos, con los mismos trajes y vestidos de aquel día tan especial, ponemos una nota de color, de alegría, de fiesta, que nos llena a todos de un gozo que no se puede describir con palabras. ¡Ojala que esta fecha nos lleve a reconocer la presencia sencilla y entrañable del Jesús que nos espera a todos en el sagrario! ¡Cuánto bien nos pueden hacer las visitas que le hacemos a cualquier hora de la mañana o de la tarde!
En esta Jornada del Corpus, la Iglesia nos pide que no olvidemos a los que no están para fiestas, a los que lo pasan mal, a los que sufren los efectos de la crisis económica, a los que se han quedado sin trabajo, a los que no pueden llegar a fin de mes. Hoy, en todas las Parroquias de España, se hace una Colecta para seguir ayudando, por medio de Cáritas, a quienes necesitan urgentemente la solidaridad de los hermanos. Si podemos, ayudemos; y hagámoslo con una inmensa generosidad. Demos de lo que nos sobra y de lo que necesitamos. Pensemos en el que nada tiene, en el que mira con angustia el futuro, en lo que nos gustaría que otros hicieran por nosotros en las mismas circunstancias. Nuestra solidaridad aliviará la suerte de muchos e inundará de felicidad nuestro corazón. Recordemos la conocida frase de Jesús: “Hay más dicha en dar que en recibir. Más dichosos es el que da que el que recibe.”
Unamos, pues, fuertemente, Eucaristía y Caridad, presencia de Jesús en el pan y en el vino y solidaridad con los hermanos.
