HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del domingo que los cristianos dedicamos a honrar y a adorar al Dios que es Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo, al Dios que es Trinidad de Personas. Jesús, el Hijo, nos enseñó que, en el cielo, hay un Dios Padre que nos quiere, que Él es igual al Padre. Y, cuando estaba para acabar su vida y, tras la resurrección, les insistió a los suyos que, cuando Él dejara de estar visiblemente presente, les enviaría al Espíritu Santo que les fortalecería, que les animaría, que les recordaría lo que habían aprendido a su lado durante tres largos años de convivencia intensa. El misterio de la Santísima Trinidad es algo que nos desborda, que no podemos comprender en toda su profundidad, es verdad, pero ahí está y es bueno que los creyentes lo sepamos y lo vivamos. Que mantengamos una relación muy estrecha con cada una de las tres divinas personas o con todas ellas en su conjunto. Que nos sintamos inmersos en ese misterio de amor que nos envuelve, aunque no lleguemos a conocerlo en toda su profundidad.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro del Deuteronomio, un libro del antiguo testamento que nos recuerda a todos que “allá arriba en el cielo o aquí abajo en la tierra” hay un Dios que nos quiere felices y que nos ha dado unas normas, unos preceptos, para alcanzar esa felicidad. No veamos esas normas como algo pesado, como una imposición sino, más bien, como un camino para descubrir a ese Dios que sale a nuestro encuentro. Él está ahí, a nuestro lado, aunque no le veamos, aunque no sintamos, en ocasiones, el calor de su presencia. Hablémosle con el corazón, hagámosle partícipe de nuestras alegrías y tristezas, de nuestras penas y de nuestros gozos más íntimos. Él se interesa por nosotros y le importa nuestra realidad.
La segunda lectura está tomada de la carta que San Pablo escribió a los cristianos de Roma. Les dice que somos hijos de Dios y que podemos dirigirnos a Él con el título entrañable de Padre. Un Padre que nos quiere sus herederos. Herederos de una felicidad que estamos llamados compartir con él. Disfrutemos de ese sabernos hijos de Dios. Invoquémosle juntos con la oración del Padre Nuestro que el propio Jesús nos enseñó y que tantas veces decimos en la Misa.
El relato del evangelio de San Mateo nos ha conservado las últimas palabras que conservamos de Jesús en el que Él envía a los suyos a anunciar el evangelio en todo el mundo y a bautizar a los que crean invocando al Dios que es Padre, Hijo y Espíritu. Dejemos que este Dios, Trinidad de personas unidas por el amor, habite en nuestro corazón y nos impulse a ser constructores de unidad en el seno de nuestra familia, de nuestro pueblo, de los grupos, asociaciones o movimientos a los que pertenezcamos. Confesemos nuestra fe en este Dios Trinidad.
