HOMILÍA
Celebra hoy la Iglesia la Fiesta del Corpus Christi, la fiesta de la Eucaristía por excelencia, en la que se nos recuerda la presencia viva de Cristo en el pan y el vino consagrados. Nuestros oj0s se dirigen al Sagrario de nuestras Parroquias, a la comunión que recibimos, a la Custodia en la que exponemos al Jesús Eucaristía tanto en el interior de nuestros templos como procesionalmente por las calles de nuestros pueblos. La pandemia hace que, este año, no podamos salir en procesión acompañados por los niños que, en tiempos pasados, ya habían hecho su Primera Comunión. Sea como fuere, lo importante es que adoremos, desde el fondo de nuestro corazón, al Cristo que quiso quedarse entre nosotros. Cambian las formas, pero no el fondo de esta fiesta.
Y, junto con la adoración a este Cristo Eucaristía, hoy se nos invita a mirar al prójimo necesitado, enfermo, afectado por la pandemia, por la pobreza, por la falta de lo más imprescindible. Cáritas Diocesana nos impulsa a realizar una colecta para ayudar a aquellos que necesitan nuestra ayuda y nuestra solidaridad. Sepamos ser generosos. Hagamos por otros lo que nos gustaría que se hiciera por nosotros en la misma situación. Pensemos que todos formamos una sola familia en la que nadie puede quedar fuera. Y quedan fuera todos aquellos que no reciben el apoyo que necesitan, mientras hay quienes viven en la abundancia. Demos incluso desde nuestra pobreza. Dios no se deja vencer nunca en generosidad.
Eucaristía y Caridad, adoración al Santísimo y mano tendida al prójimo necesitado, deben estar unidas en nuestra vivencia cristiana. ¿De qué nos serviría venir a misa, comulgar, rezar ante el Sagrario, si pasáramos de largo ante el que necesita nuestra ayuda? Ojalá que este día del Corpus nos enseñe a vivir con intensidad ambas realidades.
