Celebrar la fiesta del Corpus Christi es recordar que el Jesús, presente en la Eucaristía, se nos muestra en nuestras calles y plazas para ser visto y adorado por la gente que pasa, por los enfermos que se pueden asomar a las ventanas de sus casas. El Jesús, a quien visitamos en el Sagrario cuando acudimos a la Iglesia, sale a nuestro encuentro como tantas veces hizo por los caminos y los pueblos de Palestina. ¡Ojala que, desde el fondo de nuestro corazón, surja espontáneo un afecto que se traduzca en una plegaria sentida y sincera!
No olvidemos, en este día, a tantos niños y niñas que en nuestras parroquias están haciendo su Primera Comunión. Muchos de ellos acompañarán al Jesús Eucaristía, al Jesús que llevamos en la Custodia. Su alegría nos debe contagiar a todos. Recemos por estos niños y niñas para que su Primera Comunión sea eso: una Primera Comunión a la que deben seguir tantas otras a lo largo de toda su vida. A ellos les hemos recordado muchas veces que los amigos quieren estar juntos y verse con frecuencia. Animémosles a comulgar con frecuencia, a participar en la Misa de cada domingo, a recibir también el sacramento del Perdón.
En este día del Corpus, la Iglesia nos invita a celebrar el Día del Amor Fraterno de la mano de Cáritas. Este año con el lema “Somos lo que damos. Somos Amor.” Muchas personas a nuestro alrededor, pero también lejos de nosotros, están necesitadas de amor, de cariño, de esos bienes imprescindibles para llevar una vida digna. Si compartimos, si damos lo que somos y tenemos, si no pasamos de largo ante el que necesita nuestra ayuda, estaremos siendo fieles a lo que ese Cristo Eucaristía nos está pidiendo.
Colaboremos con Cáritas ofreciendo nuestro tiempo, nuestras aportaciones y ese amor que se traduce en una sonrisa amable.
