HOMILÍA
El día de Pentecostés pusimos fin a las Fiestas de la Pascua pero, antes de reanudar la larga lista de domingos del Tiempo Ordinario, somos llamados a celebrar algunos de los misterios más importantes de la Fe. Es el caso que hoy contemplamos. La Iglesia nos invita a dirigir nuestra mirada hacia la Santísima Trinidad. Muchas veces, a lo largo del año, celebramos el amor del Padre o los hechos más significativos de la vida de Jesús, así como las fiestas en las que el Espíritu Santo es el protagonista indiscutible. Con este día, la iglesia quiere que honremos, que adoremos, a las tres divinas personas en su conjunto; que caigamos en la cuenta de su presencia misteriosa, pero real, en nuestras vidas. No es fácil comprender el misterio que hoy celebramos: hablamos de tres personas distintas y un solo Dios verdadero, como decíamos en el catecismo. Pero, el no comprender este misterio, no nos quita la posibilidad de mantener, con cada una de esas tres divinas personas, una relación tan entrañable como necesaria.
Fue Jesús el que nos desveló el misterio que se encerraba en Dios. Nos habló muchas veces del Padre de los cielos, nos enseñó a rezarle, nos recordó su preocupación por todos y cada uno de los seres humanos. También nos habló de la especialísima relación que le unía a él con ese Padre de los cielos y de su igualdad con Él. Al final de su vida, cuando se acercaba el momento de su Pasión y de su muerte y también después de su resurrección Jesús insistió, en numerosas ocasiones que, cuando él faltará, enviaría al Espíritu Santo para que les confortara, para que les recordará lo que él les había dicho, para que entendieran el sentido y el significado de los hechos que habían vivido juntos.
Los cristianos de todos los tiempos estamos llamados a vivir conscientes de este misterio que nos envuelve, a rezar al Padre, al Hijo y al Espíritu Santo por separado o a la Trinidad en su conjunto. De hecho, casi sin darnos cuenta, lo venimos haciendo. En el nombre de la Trinidad comenzamos toda reunión litúrgica, somos bautizados, se perdonan nuestros pecados, son unidos los matrimonios y confortados los enfermos en la hora suprema. Seamos conscientes en esos y en otros momentos de la invocación que hacemos de la Santísima Trinidad. En el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo decimos incluso cuando nos santiguamos.
Esta fiesta nos recuerda que Dios es comunidad de personas unidas por el amor. Por eso, es bueno que pidamos por esa unidad que tantas veces rompemos los seres humanos en la pareja, en la familia, en los grupos y comunidades, en la Iglesia. Confesemos la fe.
