HOMILÍA
Poco a poco, el tiempo de Pascua va avanzando. El color blanco de la casulla del sacerdote, los cantos con su letra y su música más alegres, el cirio pascual encendido en todas nuestras celebraciones, las lecturas que nos recuerdan los inicios de las primeras comunidades cristianas y las apariciones de Jesús… todo, nos invita a vivir intensamente este tiempo, a disfrutarlo, a sentir el orgullo de ser cristianos y a tomar conciencia de que formamos parte de una comunidad con la que estamos llamados a celebrar la fe en Jesús Resucitado.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Al entusiasmo con el que los amigos de Jesús anunciaban a todo el mundo la Buena Noticia se opuso, ya desde un primer momento, la actitud de algunos que iniciaron así un movimiento de rechazo y de persecución abierta. Un rechazo y una persecución que no amilanó a los Apóstoles que siguieron su misión sin importarles las consecuencias. Tras ser azotados, nos ha dicho el texto, salieron contentos de haber merecido aquel ultraje por el nombre de Jesús. Los cristianos de hoy también debemos estar dispuestos a sufrir por el nombre de Jesús; a vivir con fidelidad nuestra fe, sin importarnos los posibles rechazos o persecuciones.
La segunda lectura, tomada del libro del Apocalipsis, nos ha vuelto a hablar, con un lenguaje lleno de simbolismos, de Jesús resucitado bajo la imagen de un cordero ofrecido en sacrificio. Para él, para Jesús, va el poder, el honor, la gloria, la alabanza. Es un himno de victoria que el autor dedica a Cristo. Vaya para él también nuestro particular himno de alabanza, de honor, de gratitud. Aprendamos que la oración no es solo petición. Que también es, debe ser, acción de gracias y de alabanza.
El relato del evangelio nos ha recordado una de las apariciones de Jesús a los suyos. Y, como otras, también en esta, los apóstoles viven con sorpresa y con una mezcla de alegría y desconcierto la presencia del maestro. Él hace posible una pesca abundante cuando volvían de vacío. Él les prepara comida y ellos están como preguntándose si es verdad lo que están viviendo en ese momento. La segunda parte del relato tiene que ver con el Pedro que, unos días antes, le había llegado a negar tres veces. Jesús, por tres veces también, le va a pedir que se pronuncie en público sobre una pregunta clave: “Pedro ¿me amas más que estos?” y Pedro, con los ojos bajos, sintiendo sobre sí la mirada de Jesús, responde como puede: “Tú sabes que te quiero.” A mi manera, le viene a decir, con mis debilidades, con mi fragilidad. La respuesta de Pedro es suficiente para Jesús que le confirma en su cargo: Apacienta mis ovejas. Y nosotros hoy ¿cómo responderíamos a su pregunta?
