HOMILÍA
Hemos escuchado las lecturas propias del tercer domingo de Pascua, el tiempo de la alegría que nos embarga a todos porque celebramos la Resurrección de Jesús. La alegría forma parte de nuestro ser cristiano. Antes se decía que un santo triste es un triste santo. Cierto que no nos faltaran penas y preocupaciones, pero es bueno saber que Dios nos quiere felices y nos impulsa a hacer felices a los demás.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del libro de los Hechos de los Apóstoles. Hemos escuchado un fragmento de un discurso de Pedro que reconoce que, muchos de sus oyentes, apoyaron con hechos, con palabras o con su silencio, la pasión y la muerte de Jesús; pero les disculpa, porque piensa que actuaron por ignorancia; porque, en el fondo, no eran conscientes de la gravedad de lo que hacían. Tras la resurrección de Jesús, les invita al arrepentimiento y a la conversión. También en tiempo de Pascua el Señor nos hace a todos una llamada al perdón y a la reconciliación. Hagámosle caso.
La segunda lectura, de una carta del apóstol Juan, nos habla de que el pecado forma parte de nuestra realidad cotidiana pero sabemos que, aunque esto sea así, tenemos a alguien que nos defenderá ante el Padre: a Jesucristo, el Justo. Eso sí, este defensor nos pide que, tratemos por todos los medios, de cumplir sus mandamientos para que el amor de Dios llegue a su plenitud en cada uno de nosotros.
El relato del evangelio de Lucas nos ha contado que, tras el episodio de los discípulos de Emaús, Jesús se apareció en el cenáculo a todos los apóstoles reunidos. Tras haberle visto morir en la cruz y ser colocado en el sepulcro, les costaba aceptar la realidad de que había resucitado según las Escrituras. Jesús llegará incluso a invitarles a tocarle y comerá con ellos y les convertirá en testigos de su Resurrección como nosotros.
