Domingo XXIII. Tiempo Ordinario. Ciclo B
Continúan en este evangelio la serie de milagros de Jesús, cargados de un significado profundo para los que habían leído el Antiguo Testamento y eran conocedores de las promesas que iban a ser realizadas en la persona del Mesías; Todo lo ha hecho bien. Hace oír a los sordos y hablar a los mudos; una frase que anticipaba la llegada del Mesías prometido por Dios.
Sin embargo hay algo que llama la atención en la escena evangélica: apartó a aquél sordomudo de la gente; como si no quisiera que alguien le viera; como pasando desapercibido ante la expectación de la multitud. El Reino de los cielos estaba por llegar, y los signos apuntaban a Cristo.
Apartándolo de los que le rodeaban y mirando al cielo, como si explicara que sus acciones venían de su Padre, Jesús le dice “ábrete”; y al instante escuchaba y hablaba sin dificultad. Lejos de todo bullicio y de cualquier aplauso posible, se había realizado un nuevo gesto milagroso. No quería que nadie lo viera; tal vez porque aún no estaban preparados para entender lo que significaba el verdadero Reino de los cielos.
Más allá de ese reino terrenal que esperaban los judíos, Jesús vino a instaurar el reino de la paz y la justicia; el Mesías había de padecer mucho previamente, ser contado entre los malhechores y ejecutado; y esto era incompatible con las esperanzas que tenía el pueblo israelita. Por eso sus signos no venían rodeados de espectacularidad ni de mucho público. Por eso sus manifestaciones estaban enmarcadas en un ámbito de secreto o de misterio.
Todo lo ha hecho bien; aquél hombre se inserta de nuevo en su comunidad de origen; la palabra y la escucha son dos medios necesarios para vivir en comunidad, para compartir lo que somos y tenemos; y aquel sordomudo recibía de nuevo esos regalos. Sin embargo Jesús no quiere darle publicidad y pretende que nadie se entere de lo sucedido; aún faltaba camino por recorrer, aún faltaban enseñanzas por predicar.
Así es nuestro Mesías, nuestro Salvador; nos regala lo más grande que tenemos, la posibilidad de conocer cara a cara a Dios, y sin embargo quiere hacer las cosas bien, poco a poco; nos ha explicado en un camino de discipulado las condiciones para llegar a su Padre, y en ese camino aún falta la mitad: la subida a Jerusalén y el padecimiento en cruz, junto a la resurrección que nos ha dado la vida.
