V DOMINGO ORDINARIO
Así podemos titular el Evangelio de este Domingo. Son 24 horas in- tensamente dedicadas a hacer el bien. Un día lleno, feliz, positivo. Nos lo encontramos saliendo de la Sinagoga, va a casa de Pedro y allí se encuentra con la suegra de Pedro enferma. Jesús se acerca cariñosamente, la toma de la mano y la levanta curada. El milagro está contado con toda sencillez, sin darle ninguna importancia. Es el Jesús de siempre, el que pasa por la vida sembrando felicidad y esperanza.
La mujer se puso a servirles. Nos gustaría un evangelio que nos con- tara más detalles, pero sólo nos cuenta lo que ayuda a nuestra fe. "La levantó y se puso a servirles". El hombre vive en pie, levantado ante Jesús, cuando sabe servir a sus hermanos.
Y muchos más enfermos venían a buscarle. Y las gentes dominadas por los malos espíritus, también buscaban la curación. Y curando a enfermos le llegó la noche.
"Se levantó de madrugada. Antes del alba se marchó a un lugar tranquilo para rezar. Y aunque muchas gentes lo querían retener, se fue a anunciar el Evangelio a otros lugares.
TRES COSAS PARA NUESTRO DÍA CRISTIANO
Rezar. La estampa de Jesús orante es muy frecuente en las páginas evangélicas. Sólo o en compañía. En la Sinagoga, en el monte, de pie, de rodillas, pidiendo, dando gracias, ofreciendo el perdón, en silencio, a gritos... Llevó a la práctica lo que había dicho: "Es preciso orar siempre sin desfallecer". El cristiano tiene que rezar, que es lo mismo que expresar con palabras el amor a Dios, que lleva en su persona.
La misa de cada Domingo, la visita al Santísimo, el Rosario, unas avemarías, un rato de oración mental, un canto religioso que resuena en mi interior. Una página bíblica que saboreo lentamente... Se reza de muchas maneras.
La oración ilumina y fortalece y nos hace sentir vivo y cercano a Jesús. Es bueno rezar en comunidad, pero es también necesario orar en la soledad del corazón. Las manos de María, sosteniendo nuestras manos orantes, multiplican la fuerza de nuestra plegaria.
Hacer siempre el bien. Jesús curó a la dueña de la casa. Pero luego siguió curando a los de fuera. El amor y el servicio los comenzamos por los más cercanos, pero no nos encerramos en casa.
El cristiano está llamado a llenar de humanidad este mundo. Nunca podremos evitar la cruz, pero nunca tiene que nacer de nuestro egoísmo. El que ama de verdad no sueña en ser feliz, sino en sembrar felicidad. Y siempre sabe que hay gente que lo necesita. Por eso su divisa es la de Jesús: "Pasar por la vida haciendo el bien"
Preocuparse de los de lejos. El Evangelio nos cuenta que a Jesús lo quisieron encerrar en sus límites y no se dejó. "Vámonos a otra parte... para predicar también allí". Siempre hay gente que quiere que no miremos más lejos de nuestro entorno. Dicen: "¡Bastantes pobres tenemos aquí! ¡Y es verdad! ¡Bastantes misiones tenemos aquí!" y, también, es verdad. Pero eso no nos impide, que tengamos los ojos, el corazón y el bolsillo muy pendientes de ayudar a hermanos lejanos.
El próximo domingo celebramos la Campaña contra el Hambre en el mundo. Y ya desde hoy nos preguntamos, qué podemos hacer esta semana, para que no sea verdad que "La indiferencia te hace cómplice".
