HOMILÍA
Han resonado en nuestros oídos y, ojalá que también en nuestros corazones, los textos bíblicos de este quinto domingo del tiempo ordinario. Un domingo que lleva, dentro de sí, un mensaje de solidaridad y de esperanza para tantos seres humanos que viven en la pobreza, que no tienen lo necesario para vivir o el acceso a una educación y a una sanidad que a todo ser humano corresponde. En este domingo tiene lugar la Colecta de Manos Unidas, Campaña contra el Hambre. Nuestra Diócesis de Jaca ha hecho suyo un proyecto de desarrollo en la India. Un proyecto que, lógicamente, tiene un costo que, entre todos, estamos llamados a financiar. Dejemos que hable nuestro corazón y hagamos por los necesitados lo que querríamos que otros hicieran por nosotros si estuviéramos en la misma situación.
La primera lectura la hemos tomado del profeta Isaías y, sus primeras palabras constituyen una llamada a cumplir con los objetivos de Manos Unidas, Campaña contra el Hambre: “Parte tu pan con el hambriento, hospeda a los pobres sin techo, cubre a quien ves desnudo y no te desentiendas de los tuyos.” Partir el pan con el otro es compartir, es sentir como propias sus necesidades y carencias. El propio Jesús nos insistía en el mismo tema cuando, en la parábola del Juicio Final, nos decía: “Tuve hambre y me distéis de comer, tuve sed y me distéis de beber. Y, cuándo te vimos con hambre y te alimentamos o con sed y te dimos de beber. Cada vez que lo hicisteis con uno de estos, mis humildes hermanos, conmigo lo hicisteis”. Contestará Jesús.
La segunda lectura, de la carta de San Pablo a los cristianos de Corinto nos hablaba de la actitud de humildad y sencillez con la que comenzó a predicarles. Con cierto miedo, sí, pero consciente de saber que contaba con la ayuda y la protección del Jesús que le enviaba a anunciar la Buena Noticia de su Evangelio. La Buena Noticia para muchos seres humanos hoy en nuestro mundo es saber que pueden comer, que tienen lo necesario para vivir y que pueden mirar al futuro sin angustia, con esperanza. Con gozo, incluso.
El relato del evangelio está centrado en dos palabras: luz y sal. Eso es lo que tenemos que ser los creyentes. Y lo seremos, si miramos con ojos de hermano a todo ser humano, si compartimos lo que somos y lo que tenemos, si no pasamos de largo ante el que necesita nuestra ayuda.
