DECRETO SOBRE LA INDULGENCIA PLENARIA
EN EL AÑO DE LA FE,
EN LA DIÓCESIS DE JACA
NOS DON JULIÁN RUIZ MARTORELL, por la gracia de Dios y de la Sede Apostólica Obispo de la Diócesis de Jaca.
En el quincuagésimo aniversario de la solemne apertura del Concilio Ecuménico Vaticano II (11 de octubre de 1962) y en el vigésimo aniversario de la promulgación del Catecismo de la Iglesia Católica(11 de octubre de 1992), el Santo Padre Benedicto XVI inauguró solemnemente el pasado día 11 de octubre el Año de la fe, que concluirá el 24 de noviembre de 2013, solemnidad de Jesucristo, Rey del Universo.
El Año de la fe es “una invitación a una auténtica y renovada conversión al Señor, único Salvador del mundo” (Benedicto XVI, Carta Apostólica Porta fidei, n. 6).
El Año de la fe es un “tiempo de gracia espiritual que el Señor nos ofrece para rememorar el don precioso de la fe” (Porta fidei, n. 8).
En este Año de la fe se da a los fieles “la oportunidad de confesar la fe en el Señor Resucitado en nuestras catedrales e iglesias de todo el mundo; en nuestras casas y con nuestras familias, para que cada uno sienta con fuerza la exigencia de conocer y transmitir mejor a las generaciones futuras la fe de siempre. En este Año, las comunidades religiosas, así como las parroquiales, y todas las realidades eclesiales antiguas y nuevas, encontrarán la manera de profesar públicamente el Credo” (Porta fidei, n. 8).
La Penitenciaría Apostólica publicó el pasado 14 de septiembre un Decreto donde se dice: “Dado que se trata ante todo de desarrollar en sumo grado – por cuanto sea posible en esta tierra – la santidad de vida y de obtener, por lo tanto, en el grado más alto la pureza del alma, será muy útil el gran don de las Indulgencias, que la Iglesia, en virtud del poder que le ha conferido Cristo, ofrece a todos aquellos que, con las debidas disposiciones, cumplan las prescripciones especiales para lucrarlas”.
La Penitenciaría Apostólica, que tiene el oficio de regular cuanto concierne a la concesión y al uso de las Indulgencias, y de estimular el ánimo de los fieles a concebir y alimentar rectamente el piadoso deseo de obtenerlas, ha establecido unas disposiciones, emitidas en conformidad con el pensamiento del Santo Padre Benedicto XVI, a fin de que los fieles estén más estimulados al conocimiento y al amor de la Doctrina de la Iglesia Católica y de ella obtengan frutos espirituales más abundantes.
